Simon and Garfunkel foi um dueto americano de música popular, formado por Paul Simon e Arthur 'Art' Garfunkel. Os dois se conheceram ainda no colégio, em 1953, quando interpretaram em uma encenação de Alice no País das Maravilhas. Em 1957, formaram o grupo Tom and Jerry, e conseguiram um relativo sucesso com o hit "Hey Schoolgirl". Como Simon and Garfunkel, a dupla alcançou a fama em 1965, apoiados no single "The Sound of Silence". Essa e outras músicas de sua autoria compuseram a trilha sonora do filme A Primeira Noite de um Homem (The Graduate).
