Carolyn Wonderland é cantora, compositora, pianista, trumpetista e guitarrista de Houston, Texas. Ela começou sua carreira ainda adolescente, como solista e, mais tarde, formou sua própria banda, The Imperial Monkeys. Embora a banda se dedicasse mais ao blues-rock, nota-se influência do country, zydeco, surf music, música latina, booggie e um pouco de jazz. A voz de Wonderland é frequentemente comparada com a de Janis Joplin, com certa propriedade.
